Who remembers way back in the day

when us now old timers in our hobby would always get extra strikes because we knew that we could trade them around. If you went to a casino, or a coin shop or flee market you would always get more than you needed. Back then there was very little internet. We actually used the Club Roster and called each other. What a concept. We would work trades over the phone. Or we would do a sort of mass mailing of our trade/want lists of strikes. Now it seems no one or almost no one has extra's and almost no one is interested in trading.

I post wants fairly often and I honestly do not remember the last time anyone actually replied with a trade proposal.

I don't mind selling strikes. Sure. But it's fun to also trade. I know there is plenty of the misc silver casino tokens out there. And most collectors have at least one odd ball piece of casino silver besides a silver strike.

Do a "Show and Tell" about what you have. Here is mine.

I as everyone knows enjoy the misc casino silver. So much I even wrote a book, well now two books on the topic. And if anyone is interested a copy let me know. 1134 color pictures with info on every token I know of.

Anyhow, this is a group of 29 out of 30 pieces in the set. I have been trying to complete this set for years. Early June I posted a want for any of these not expecting a reply. Towards the end of June someone did reply and sent me this picture. They had these and maybe would sell or trade for them all. It took until early August before the person said ok. It then took me a few days to gather possible trade goodies. A few days later this group was on it's way to my collection and his goodies were on their way to his collection. The stuff is out there folks, ya just have to look for it and keep searching and asking.

These are each 1 ounce sterling silver and marked on the outer edge.
