Ready huh, well ok
In Response To: Ready fir the story. ()

this goes back roughly 35 years ago. Back then I was a painting contractor who also did other home repairs.

My sister and brother in law were into flipping houses, (long before it was popular on TV) . Anyhow, My then brother in law asked me to do a bunch of work on the house he was flipping. I was not aware at that time they were getting a divorce. So, well once I finished the job I went to him to get paid. And I get the well darn I am getting a divorce from your sister and I have no money. Because he was family I knew he had the machine in his garage doing nothing. He owed me something like $700 bucks for the work. And since I am bigger than him I told him if you can't pay me then how about I take that machine and we call it even. He moaned, well there is money in the machine and I can't open it because I don't have the key. For me that was the bonus to getting the machine, the money still in the machine. I loaded the machine in my truck and still have it to this day. A few months later he did come up with the original key and gave it to me.

Back then I don't know if the machine was even worth the $700 bucks but I was not going to leave without something. If memory serves me correctly there was something like $50 in the machine once I opened it.

And that there is the rest of the story.
