Greeting my fellow Silver Strikers.

I wish to commend Jeff and Jo for doing a great job and I hope to take the club to even higher greatness.

It is an honor to be your newest President. Many of you may not know anything about me so I hope I can address some of that issue with you in this post.

I am currently the President of the Casino Collectibles Club (CCA) , the President of the Southern Nevada Casino Collectible Club (SNCCC) and the Membership Director of the Museum of Gaming History (MoGH).

You might say I’m pretty active in all facets of Gaming History and Collecting. My first experience with collecting started with Silver Strikes. I now have over 240 strikes, with my most highly regarded collection of Babe Ruth strikes. From there I gradually added collecting casino chips of all kinds as well as playing cards and dice.

I love the hobby of collecting and especially meeting new people and talking about what interests them.

Clubs such as the ones that I am affiliated with excite and interest me as we all have a common thread that binds us.

I do not wish to see these clubs ever dissolve. All too often people lose interest and the hobby suffers as we are left with nothing.

I recently hosted a table at the Arizona Charlies Casino Rama Show thanks to the free table that was donated from the show’s promotors for the sole purpose of increasing memberships. I solicited memberships for all 4 organizations that I am affiliated with and had great success in signing up members for all of them. My greatest success was signing up 24 new members for the Silver Strikers Club. I worked the table for 2 straight days from 10am to 5 pm. Many of the new memberships were from people who have Silver Strikes but did not know there was even a club.

My desire is to help increase our membership and possibly add some new events in the future in addition to what is happening now.

I want to hear from everyone on how we can make this an even better club.
