I researched that quite a bit a few years back. My notes say:

Was originally won on a 25¢ Slot JACKPOT. It was a hand pay from at least December 1997 until at least April of 1998. I have read of two personal accounts of people getting them in December of 1997 and one in April of 1998.

Sometime in 1998, they were offered in the gift shop at the Hilton. I do not know how long they were sold in the gift shop or the original price, maybe someone else can help put a date on that. I think the original price was in the $100-125 range. I remember seeing somewhere that the mintage was in the low 1000's, something like 1000-2000 sets, but I do not remember that exactly and it's not in my notes. Hopefully someone else can add to this.
