Re: Is the $40 Skiing Flamingo NoHGE a real variat

As I was at work today a $10 strike came to mind. Back in time when the Gold Spike Casino in Las Vegas had a new strike. The only one we now have in our collections. That strike was coming out of the machine with all sorts of rotation varieties. And if memory is correct the insert was even flipped. I believe the final thinking and feelings were that someone in the cage was popping out the inserts and thus making errors so the machines would get more play. I do not believe it was ever proven so don't take my word on this.

In all hobbies there are ways that someone can alter something.

Who was it that said "there is a sucker born every minute". In all hobbies we have all been told to do our homework and know what we are buying. If you feel the $40 strikes is authentic then it is, but if you feel it has been altered, then best for you to not have it on your want list.

If the gold is chemically removed I would think the chemical would leave some sort of trace damage to the silver. Just my opinion.
