George - What I was pointing out is you don,t have PURE .999 Silver, you can't figure as you are to get a value because any dealer/refiner is only going to pay for .925 silver (because it has to be refined). Today for an example Kitco would pay 0.536 per gram for .925 scrap stealing (which is what you have) and when you multiply that by 31.1 (grams to an oz) you arrive at $16.66 per oz. if you were selling .999 silver (which doesn't have to be refined)to Kitco you would get (today) 20.60 per oz.
Makes a big difference if somebody is figuring true value of the silver when making an offer for your set.
It is a nice set for the right person.
