Last year, my brother submitted a couple entries. He was very happy that Jo Riefer was able to take his rough sketches and make them look like silver strikes. He didn't have to invest in photoshop type software or learn how to do it but yet his entries could be on even footing with people who had more computer expertise than he had. We were disappointed that neither of his entries were among the six to be voted on by the membership but he felt that he had a shot at it. It's my opinion that the important thing for a club strike should be the concept or idea behind the strike not simply the artistic ability of the entrant. I support your contest policy the way it is.
