Anyone who has ever been a guardian to a pet knows how you feel. I was told long ago, that when you look into your pets face, you see the face of God. They never judge you. They don't care if you're young or old, black or white, rich or poor, handsome or plain. They give back more love than they're given, and they always overlook your faults.
I'm sorry for your loss, but happy you have such treasured memories. At a sad time like you've just had, at least you're surrounded by true love from your other companions.
