It Was Only a Matter of Time!

In June 2005, when Harrah's purchased Paris Paris, that was the beginning of the end of the Silver Strike Machines and their program. When Marie and I were in Las Vegas, I believe it was for our August trip in 2005, we went into Paris Paris to play the Strike Machine that was over by the entrance, but the machine was no longer there. We asked a slot attendant about the Strike Machine and she stated, "It was removed and will not be returned to the floor." We then went over to the Main Cage to see if we could purchase any Silver Strikes that were turned in and they called for the Slot Director/Supervisor who was on the floor. A well distinguished gentleman and his female assistant came over to talk to Marie and I and we introduced ourselves to them and stated that we belonged to the Silver Strikers Club. When I asked them about the Silver Strike Machine that was not going to be returned to the floor, would we be able to purchase any Strikes from the Main Cage? We were told that they were not allowed to sell any Silver Strikes at all and that the Silver Strike Machines will never return to any Casino's that were owned by Harrah's because of the problems that they had with certain members of the Silver Strikers Club who would come to play the Silver Strike Machines at all of their locations! So, it was only a matter of time since Harrah's purchased Planet Hollywood on Feb. 19, 2010 and it seems that they kept their word about never having the Silver Strike Machines at any of their locations.
