I stayed at the Palms last tuesday - friday. The room was nice and was also free. I must give it to the palms for a very very comfortable bed and linens. I have no complaints other than the lack of silver strikes. There were 2 machines running on friday, both very low on strikes. The 3 line machine took $120 of my money and put out zero strikes. Bummer. The single line machine was very good to me. The first 100 yielded a poor 3 strikes. The second $100 yielded 13 strikes and $200 returned. Hit the triple-triple-7 and a triple-triple-3bar twice. I used $50 in points before I left and got 7 strikes. I think I got 6 .999 strikes including a 777 redcap. I cashed the others in since they were all clad. I didn't bother with any of the other strike machines as they would just be clad strikes I don't want or need. Its sad to realize that this was probably the last time for silver strikes as the four queens is only good to play at for the few days around a new release. I can't badmouth the palms as it met my needs otherwise. The palms still has good video poker and the machines are on par with downtown.
