Hi Walt,
Things just seem to be going down hill in the operation of the club .....
A handfull (2 or 3) of people have been running all aspects of the clubs operation
over the past 4-5 years, and if you are not a part of "their click", your cannot even
get appointed to any position, and you know how I tried to break up the click.
The newbees coming into the club seem to be experts on strikes and how to run the
club and stir up problems from time to time.
I am calling it quits with the club after 12 years, and recently have sold off over 2200
strikes in my collection that included over 125 of the $200 & $300 strikes, close to 100
of the tournament and club coins. I still have about 1200+ strikes left I will probably sell
off before the end of the year, alot of red & blue caps .....
Currently, if you add up the "Stay to Play Cost" requirement for 3-5 nights, airfair, meals
and cash in to get strikes, it is not worth it. You can just wait and buy the complete sets
once they start popping up, and you'll save alot by doing so.
I have a very large collection of silver and gold coins (PCGS & NGC graded) and that is what
I am investing in now instead of strikes. Higher demand and more profitable than strikes.
Have a good day,
