My condolences to Shirley Slack and their family. I was saddened to hear of Joel Slack passing.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Joel Slack, a dedicated retired firefighter and esteemed perpetual member of the Georgia Masonic Lodge. Born on April 30, 1956. Joel departed from this world on April 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of service and kindness.

He served as The Silver Strikers Club President from 2012 to 2014. He and Shirley were great supporters of the Silver Striker Club.

A memorial service to honor Joel's life will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens, 1950 Center Rd., on Friday, April 12 at 10 AM, followed by a gathering at his residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Suncoast Humane Society, Englewood, FL (https://humane.org/).

Joel's dedication to his community and family will be dearly missed, and his memory will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
