CCA V-P Campaign Stmt #3

Greetings to my fellow Club members

As I mentioned in my initial campaign statement I am going to elaborate on my platform items. This item I feel is very important for the survival of our Club. I believe it is important to be specific in my goals for this position, being vague about what you want to achieve is useless. If you want to see my hobby resume please contact me at vergatos@msn.com. My Qualifications speak for themselves and I think the membership deserves to know what I stand for.

Grants

We are missing an important opportunity in not pursuing Grants on the Federal and State levels.
Having spent over a year and a half moving the corporate entity from New York to Nevada, we have gained a greater chance of obtaining big grants that could be used for many Club endeavors. Grants could be used to help us with our infrastructure as well as complete some long-forgotten projects such as a Brick and Morter Museum, MoGH incubator for processing donations, Website, Headquarters, and any other project that would benefit our Club. Grants would help bolster our membership and make us more financially viable. Our chances of getting grants are much better here in Nevada rather than in New York.

This opportunity has never been acted on and is worth an attempt to see the possibility of achieving success. I have spoken to Jonathon Ullman the President of the Mob Museum and received from him a list of contacts that specialize in such business. We owe it to ourselves to try and see where this effort may lead. We have nothing to lose in researching the possibilities. My findings would be presented to the Board for consideration.

Conclusion

All my ideas are possible to achieve. I am willing and able to spend my time helping to see what can be achieved. I have no conflict of interest, hidden agenda, or any other reason to seek this position other than to see the hobby and Club I love prosper. I have the drive to try and accomplish these items and more given the opportunity to serve, I will do my best.
I will post additional ideas in the coming weeks and hope you consider my words honest and sincere.

I ask for your vote when the ballot is released with the upcoming edition of the Club Magazine
