Players Island (or just Players) was a riverboat in Lake Charles, Louisiana. It was part of a pair of riverboats there operated by Players International. The second riverboat in the pair was the Star. Being so close to each other and operated by the same company likely explains the similarities in their strikes.

Both were purchased by Harrah's around 2001 and became Harrah's Pride and Harrah's Star, respectively, some time in 2001.
