Ok, so I posted this picture yesterday and said there was a story to it.
Well here is the story.
Roughly six months ago I decided to replace out old windows on our home. Easy change out. So once the change out was complete here I had a bunch of recyclable aluminum frames. Just had to remove the glass. Easy again. I like to feed my recyclable stuff to my grand kids. Well my son and oldest grandson were goofing off melting misc scratched silver strikes that have nothing but silver value. And I had delivered a pile of aluminum frames. Yup, they decided to see if they could melt one of them down. (Kid and dad bond ing time) . Well the son gave me back the silver colored aluminum frame in the form of a 10 ounce bar. I had a spray can of gold spray paint so I sprayed it. Then I punched the .999 into it. Then I posted here under the silver thread. This bar is 100% aluminum with paint on it.
Looks pretty cool, huh. Disclaimer: no good silver strikes were melted in this process.
