Re: So, a question regarding USPS shipping?

A number of years ago I had a package go missing. Contained strikes. Three if memory serves me right. Better ones at that, not commons. The package was insured for I think it was $200. Here in my tiny town I knew the Postmaster (now retired) and he told me straight out it take three requests before Kansas will even consider paying off. I did go through the motions I think it was twice before I even got a reply via snail mail. I had to prove the values and I used eBay auctions along with Bill C's guide to prove my case on values. Had to make copies and send in. Took a long time but with all that I think it helped having the Postmaster in my corner saying I was a good customer and he trusted me.

Sadly he retired and we have a witch now who never smiles and thinks we the customers are a bother. Today I expect I would loose the same case. Sad for sure.
