I agree with Paul. Sometimes I think I have reddish copper colored rims and when I check Bill's book they were not made for that casino, nor in the year that strike was produced.

Since they were only made for that one short period, when I find one that I think is copper-colored, I first check to see if it can be (year and casino) in Bill's book. If it can, then I compare it to any others that I have for that casino to determine if it actually is.

Sometimes, I just list it as a strike and don't list that it is CU tim - currently I have a whole set of Traverse Bay's that I think I got as a set of CU, but they weren't identified that way when I got them and I just don't feel comfortable listing them as such. Feel free to check the pictures on eBay for these to see what you think.

It is not easy, especially as the strikes age they seem to get more reddish in the brass.
