An observation ...

I've been searching the silver strikers message board archives for the past few days, looking for photos of silver strikers to match up some names with faces over all these years. As many of you are aware, Silver Strikers have been a big part of the history of The Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club, which is celebrating their 25th Anniversary this year, and their 21st Annual convention in Las Vegas this June.

I've found very few pictures of prominent silver strike collectors and club officers in the message board archive searches. It's a shame that much of the SS club history through photos is not being preserved for future generations of silver strike collectors.

Mike Poole, a CC & GTCC member, has set up a website for chipper photos several years ago. I am pretty certain that Mike would accomodate photos of silver strike collectors as well. Most all of the hundreds of photos on Mike's site do not indicate the collecting interest of the individuals, just a name ... which is all that he requires. If you have not viewed Mike Poole's alphabetical chipper photos site, here is the link to it; http://www.poolenet.com/Chippers/

How about it silver strikers? Care to contribute photos to record our own past history? Where are photos of past officers of the Silver Strikers Club, or tournament winners/participants? Photos that have been downloaded to the SS club message board are kept on file for a limited amount of time (a few months) and are no longer accessible. Mike's website has been around for many, many years. Strikers could be included.

What say you???
