Thanks for your reply Dennis. You mentioned the price of silver ... I think that the $10 strikes are more affected by the price of silver than are the $200's. I wonder how many $200's got melted when silver was approaching $40 not too long ago? I think the current price of silver is well under $30 an ounce ... probably in the $27-$28 range today. Not too many $200's are selling for under $400 on ebay... perhaps as a reflection of what silver USED to be worth. As for mintage numbers; yes there are some $200's that are cataloged in the four figures range for the truly rare ones, (which even fewer strike collectors can afford) but most $200's are in the 100-150 minted, so using your estimate of half the number of silver strike club members who collect $200's, it does not seem like there is an overabundance of extras around. Not too many $200 are being offered on ebay lately like there used to be.
