Hello Larry,

Always glad to help a New Collector.

It can be confusing. The best place to determine if a strike has a Silver Center would be the Silver Strikers' On-line Catalog.
William Cohenour's Silver Strike Catalog(Classified Ads) has a section that list all of the CLAD strikes.

I also copied an info section from my eBay ads below:

Most casinos have removed all of their Silver Strike Slot machines because they were "unprofitable". It cost the casinos more than $10 to produce a $10 Strike.
Often, it took more than $10 to win a single strike. The casinos that still have Strike machines, offers strikes that are “Clad” with Silver instead of having the pure silver centers. These strikes do not have the “.999 Fine Silver” Markings noted anywhere on the strike. These casinos offers the occasional Red Cap “chasers” that still have the pure silver centers. They still have the markings.

I hope this helps,

Gene
