Re: Colorado Central Station, Blackhawk CO, $10 st

Susan,
Don't get discouraged so quickly by the slow replies. Most of the folks that read this board don't reply to any posts. That's just the way the it is, and many aren't too familiar with Colorado Strikes. George gave you good advice. My reply in order:

what is the best way to maximize my profit, Best way to maximize profit is to sell without eBay to a local collector.
are these at all sought after? They are common strikes, but new collectors could be looking for them
EBAY? Fastest way to sell but you have fees to consider, and account setup time if you don't have eBay ID
Coin shop here in Denver? Yes, they will pay you some percentage of spot. It will be higher if the .999 is on the silver
This board? I think you discovered the interest in these on the board
I am pretty sure they no longer make these strikes, but since it is not a famous casino, does anyone care about them? yes
Or is it smarter to just sell them for the value of the silver? It is quicker and easier to scrap them. It is only smarter if you need the money now or want to take advantage of the higher commodity prices. You can get more now for scrap than the strikes would have sold for a couple years ago.

I have a commercial refiner friend in Denver, I see the punched out centers from these all the time from people turning them in for scrap.

Just my opinion, worth exactly what I charge grin
