Ted,
Being a retired coin dealer you already recognize silver strikes in terms of silver bullion is really considered generic silver bullion. That said, buying as a dealer, I wouldn't pay over spot for any of current Palm strikes. I agree with Archie, with sky rocketing silver prices, the average $200 hold little value over bullion with the exception of the rare ones. Furthermore I agree with Dave, there are superior bullion values such as American Silver Eagles when compared to silver strikes. My encouragement is to all collectors to offer $200s amongst themselves to keep the survivorship percentage high among the $200s. Once outside silver strike circles even if not melted, , many $200s will be lost forever to the hobby.
