Dennis - Sir Harvey's Tahoe id still very much open, it maybe be owned buy Harrah's/Caesars but it is still called Harveys.
How do I know this, just talked to the Hotel/casino manager and then booked a room for next week.
Harveys was real suprised to hear somebody said they were closed. You can go to www.harveystahoe.com and check them out
