Re: Cleaning Strikes and Slabbing

I have Dipped Silver Strikes ,but have never cleaned any,with any type of Polish. Found it best to use jewelers dip ,it will remove finder prints & Smudges. Found it best to remove the dip otherwise the brass will turn colors. If the brass is badly tarnished ,I use backing soda,& make a mushy solution of water a powder to prevent scratching the Strike. Rinse thorougly ,& use Isopropyl Alcohol. This should remove residew from the dip. Let air dry ,before putting in a Holder.
