Hi everyone. I think the Casino Boats in Lake Charles that you all are referring to as Players Island was never called Player Island as they were in other locations like St. Louis MO. That was the name of the entire resort that included several barges, a Hotel and two Casino boats. The boats were licensed separately and each had its own name and had different chips and tokens as well as strikes. The boats were called Players Casino and Star Casino and that is what is on the front logo side of the strikes. Both Casinos used the same art work on the reverse sides of their 4 - $10 & 4 - $20 strikes. The Silver Strike Club web site has the Player Island Lake Charles as having strikes but that is incorrect information and it says the casino name was Harrah's which is not exactly correct either. After Harrah’s bought out Players Island Resorts nation wide the resort in Lake Charles name was changed to Harrah’s and Harrah’s never had strikes in play. The machines had been removed long before Harrah's bought the place. The resort is now gone and will not be reopened at the original location. It was destroyed by the Hurricanes that hit the coast a few years back. Dan H you may be able to add more info the I may have missed. The long and short of it is that if you want a strike from Lake Charles the only ones to be had are from Player Casino or Star Casino. Not Player Island or Harrah's.
