Re: Eye opener
In Response To: Eye opener ()

Hey All,
Since I've only been in the club a year, I'm mostly just throwing out questions in the dark here.

How'd we get the money in the first place? I assume dues and club strike sales?
What is the dollar value of the strikes in the club "treasury"?
Do the financials include the very generous donation of the TI $200 strike at the tournament?

I picked up three club strikes (one for each of the last three years) and like many of you, don't understand how you could be in a club that collects strikes and not own the club strike. Can I guess it has to do with the fact the club strikes are more expensive than they used to be and it's a bit of sticker shock?

Purely from a business standpoint, would it make any sense to bundle some club strikes for a discount?

Also, does our charter permit us to sell donations on ebay. I think we all have at least a strike or two we could give to the club for a club e-bay auction. All proceeds go to the treasury minus ebay/paypal fees. Maybe we pick a day or weekend depending on response.

Just ideas, I'd hate to see the club disband, "met" lots of characters here on the board and look forward to next summer's Palms tournament to meet you all in person.

Feedback?????????
