Pete, you rock! One more nail in the coffin of this seller's credibility. I suspected something like this but didn't have the chance to investigate. Thank you, Pete! How else is it possible for them to claim the strikes are gold plated unless they are grading them themselves? Wouldn't a real independent grader tell them it's not gold?
By the way, for everyone who seems to be so fixated on my complaint about their shipping/insurance fraud, it was always the claim of there being almost an ounce of silver with gold plating around the rim that pissed me off most! That's a huge misrepresentation that motivates the unknowing to bid higher than they're worth.
And FYI, I just checked a little while ago and they still have NO casino silver strikes on auction. I couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks, I'm glad I did what I did and I'd do it again if the situation arises. Let's call it Pro Bono work.
