I think some are missing my point. Yes dealers do provide a service. I was talking about collectors coming to the convention and trying to obtain a number of strikes. If they are not able to get at a machine to have some fun they will get upset because the machines are being used by individuals to obtain strikes for dealers. Sharon and I do not play the machines during the convention unless they are open and then only for strikes that Sharon needs for her collection. When there are individual collectors waiting behind her she will give up the machine so they can play. It would be nice if the dealers would give the collectors a chance to get at the machines to play. Since many have traveled across the country to go to Las Vegas for a few days of fun at the convention and to play the machines it would be nice if they could play them. I think we all have to remember that our club can only be successful if all the members have fun collecting.

The strikes I sell on Ebay come from collectors selling their collection or from coin dealers I have known for the last 30 some odd years. Sharon sells her duplicates and strikes out of her collection since she started collecting in 1965. She also sells a lot of tokens. We also use the convention floor to pick up strikes that we need.

These are my last comments on this subject. It is our sincere hope that all those going to the convention have a good time and that they can play the machines, get some strikes for their collection and go back to their homes smiling. Ted and Sharon Pamperin SS170 and SS171
