Observations

Ten days ago, I sent in my application and payment to join the SS club. Haven't heard anything yet, but expect my membership soon.

Over the weekend, while I was bidding on South Coast strikes, I received two offers for the set on the side. One said "make me an offer" the other came through eBay and offered me the whole set for $450. Both these offers were made when I was actively bidding on four South Coast strikes from another SS club member. I ignored the eBay offer for $450, and I wrote the other person asking for the price he wanted. The auctions ended last night, and I won two of them ($18.50 and $39) and I didn't win two (I stopped bidding at $70 because it got very obvious I wasn't going to win). I was offered a second chance offer for the two at $70 along with the chance to buy the last two I needed at $10. I accepted and now will soon have the whole set. This morning, I get a reply email offering me the set for $180, which since I made the deal last night, I declined. I then get accused of running up bids and smelling like a fish because I don't accept his offer for $180. Then he says he would have sold it for $90.
BOTH these people are SS club members and BOTH post on this board.

Now, you tell me what is wrong with this club? I have bought strikes in the past from both these people, have paid as promised, and no one can say they've ever had a bad deal from me. So this is my big WELCOME TO THE CLUB huh? I get personal attacks and illegal eBay offers while an auction is ongoing. You wonder why I buy strikes from 67_chevelle_ss, baxtobax, mun3335, emeraldcitytrading, projman? Because they don't do this shady stuff. They are grateful when someone buys their strikes. There is not one auction that I've won that I haven't paid for. My style of bidding is how I like it, I don't wait until the end, I bid all the time, that's part of the fun. There are other bidders out there that do the same thing, not everyone has to bid at the very end to snipe the auction. What gets me the most is I have bought multiple times from both the above mentioned members, and that's the thanks I get?

Just my thoughts.

Dave.
